Open Source Operating System Pardus 2009 is on its way...
CAN KUTAY
Pardus,
the new operating system by TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technological
Research Council of Turkey), has developed its 2009 version
and will be on web by 17th of July.
Pardus
is a Linux based open source operating system which focused
on come up with softwares which is entirely Turkish. Good news is,
with its new version, TUBITAK aims to get attraction from
international users by, publishing Pardus 11 languages including
English and French. Pardus, unlike Microsoft and Macintosh, comes
with a set of free programs. Amarok, OpenOffice.org, Gimp…
with their own functions from playing music to designing
your webpages, they come as a package with Pardus.

Another advantage
of using Pardus besides being free is its less problemetic than
Windows or Apple. No awkward system errors that would cause a system
crash, or frozen screens that usually requires a system restart,
causing you to lose all unsaved data. I believe it worths a try
for only this, since we all know how frustrating it gets when your
PC starts to act on its own agenda.
